Weighted Scale Criteria
There are 4 areas on the weighted scale that will be evaluated for each case report.

- Does the candidate demonstrate the ability to write, edit, and communicate clear, concise yet thorough case reports that are grammatically correct and free of errors?
- Does the case report demonstrate a clear understanding of the disease, disease process, or condition for this case? Is there a discussion of the relevant anatomy, pathology and pathophysiology involved in the disease?
- Is there a clear, concise explanation of the diagnostic tests and procedures? This includes the reason for the test(s), the applicants role in performing the test(s), the results of the test(s) (both normal and abnormal), and the nursing response to the test results.
- Is there a clear and concise explanation of the goals of nursing care and therapy? Is there a demonstration of the applicant’s role in the management, nursing care and the therapy as it relates to the disease and the case?
