- Attend AIMVT Executive Board meetings four times a year, or more if required:

- June face to face at ACVIM

- Attendance at ACVIM Forum during your term as an officer is required (June)
- Attend in the in-person Executive Board meeting
- Attend the Q&A session
- Attend the Pinning Reception and pin new VTS-es!
- Attend the General Membership meeting
- Organize Specialty dinner during the ACVIM Forum, typically on Friday night, including soliciting for a sponsor, and securing a venue
- Review all website materials that involve your subspecialty, this includes reading lists, application instructions, etc.
- Provide updates ready to publish no later than October 1st

- Exam work – probably the biggest job as DAL
- Specialty exam bank work needs to be completed by February each year. This is a bit involved to describe but basically it is working with your group to have about 300 great questions to choose from.
- Delegate! For example, divide the knowledge list into sections and assign specific question topics to your specialty group.
- Entering new exam questions from those technicians re-certifying
- Provide a draft exam to the Exam Committee Chair no later than March.
- Identify Diplomates to review the exam no later than April and respond to any comments they have on the exam.
- Work with your members to validate/rate the exam in May.
- Post exam review, including addressing any questions that are problematic in conjunction with the Exam Committee Chair.
- Follow up with examinees to notify them of pass or fail.
